MPRO source unwanted and damaged mobile phones, primarily from mobile phone retailers but also from businesses, schools, collections points, retail environments and the internet. All phones are supplied in MPRO branded boxes with new charger and new or reconditioned battery.
ARE OLD MOBILE PHONES WORTH ANYTHING?
Each month MPRO creates a comprehensive buy back price list based on the current market prices for used mobile phones.
Some may have no value and will be recycled at no cost, following procedures set out by the new WEEE directive.
SO WHAT DOES WEEE DIRECTIVE MEAN?
WEEE stands for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. This Directive aims to reduce the amount of Electronic Equipment waste being disposed in landfills by promoting separate collection, treatment and recycling.
This requires manufacturers to take responsibility for funding collection, treatment and recycling of their products. The WEEE Directive became Law January 2007 and rolled out in stages until July 2007.
